ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

We are looking for a dynamic, creative, and hard-working brand leader who possesses strong commercial savvy and brand equity experience to join our marketing team. The Senior Brand Manager for Grizzly is a strategic role for Reynolds American (RAI) that works to ensure that the brand ethos and commercial objectives are met. This role will be responsible for leading and implementing a defined portion of the Grizzly brand product portfolio and marketing strategy to build the profile, image, awareness, accessibility, and credibility of Camel, resulting in increased trial, consumption and dedication with Adult Tobacco Consumers (ATCs). The Sr. Brand Manager must garner and demonstrate US ATC insights to build the consumer base, intensify consumption and drive share to accelerate brand growth. This role also requires a high level of engagement and collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners on go-to-market strategies, to ensure net sales and margin targets.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Develop and implement the brand marketing strategy for which the role is responsible
  • Drive and deliver all brand commercial objectives
  • Assist in the development and ongoing evolution of brand equity programs and creative platforms
  • Support operational plan development to drive brand goals that is inclusive of a consumer marketing plan that resonate with the brand’s Adult Tobacco Consumers (ATCs)
  • Deliver the brand performance - Grow the consumer base, drive revenue, win share and maximize profit
  • Handle and encourage team members to achieve the brand objectives/critical metrics
  • Collaborate with a broad, cross-functional team: Digital Marketing and Activation, Finance, Revenue Growth Management, Trade Marketing, Operations, R&D, Legal, & External Relations to execute the plan and achieve brand objectives/KPIs
  • Ensure that corporate strategy and regulatory guidelines are led and met across all marketing initiatives
  • Bring the brand to life across the various marketing and distribution channels
  • Lead, drive, implement measure performance of new product launches
  • Serve as a brand steward across the cross functional teams
  • Establish clear brand standards and ensure execution against these brand standards
  • Gain support for new insights, strategy shifts and lead change throughout the organization where/when appropriate 

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 5 + years relevant marketing experience
  • Shown expertise in marketing management fundamentals 
  • Demonstrated track record of successful, innovative problem solving and leadership that resulted in business improvement
  • Track record of innovation within marketing & communications: a strategic leader who takes initiative and ownership
  • Functional Area expertise and working understanding of the marketing process
  • Shown ability to passionately lead and motivate a hard-working marketing team to achieve outstanding performance
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving & influencing skills, including personal presentation, emails and building presentation

BENEFICIAL

  • Graduate Degree (MBA) and/ or prior brand marketing experience in CPG category is a plus
  • Understanding of pricing in tobacco or other relevant category
  • Experience in sales/trade/distribution preferred 
  • Strong brand and design acumen a plus

  • 401(k) plan that offers opportunity to save on pre- and post-tax basis up to 50 percent of eligible compensation.
