ROLE SUMMARY

What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?  

To lead in alignment with Global / Regional objectives and collaborators the E2E Supply Chain for a Cluster of end markets within the Western Europe Area. Driving optimised supply & demand considering Operations and EM Commercial objectives by: ensuring a future fit ready for regulation B2B / B2C supply chain, embedding new BAU capability to drive SC efficiency and effectiveness, risk sensing; assessment and mitigation and cross functional teamwork.

What is the direct impact of this role on the team or organization?

This role will be pivotal in engaging with key Senior Commercial and Operations partners. Driving and influencing business decisions to facilitate an efficient outcome for Operations and Commercial functions. Participating in the development of Supply Chain capabilities and maturity. Providing direction, development and mentoring their teams to ensure a dedicated diverse Supply Chain organisation that is aligned and synchronised with commercial business unit plans.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Build and articulate to key collaborators a vision / pathway for the Area SC aligned with Strategic Company objectives.
  • Ensure the Supply Chain is ready for regulation.
  • Ensure compliance to global standards, policies and platforms to ensure risk mitigation / audit compliance.
  • Lead the development of individuals and teams by acting as a role model and living the values, managing poor performance, coordination of training/education and mentor.
  • Ensure a risk sensing process is embedded to enable the early identification of risks and suitable mitigation plans.
  • Management of supply risks and mitigation plans to enable demand fulfilment as per service level agreements
  • Playing an active role in the Supply chain maturity journey. Identifying gaps and building a pathway for the development and deployment of UCT / IWS processes and capabilities to ensure Supply Chain maturity progression vs plan.
  • Actively participate in the Area SC digitalisation agenda and processes (Kinaxis, Power BI Dashboard, Reporting) enabling: access to near real time data, fast decision making, Issue RCA or equivalent experience.
  • Actively participate in loss elimination / value stream mapping reviews to identify optimisation opportunities for Savings, Cash release and NCL reduction.
  • Actively participate in the development of Area forum structure / content (Area DRM / CFT / ASOP) to ensure consistent fit for purpose / benefit visibility and outcomes.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

ESSENTIAL

Experience Required

  • Min. 5 years middle/senior management experience in CPG Supply Chain, ideally multi subject area e.g. Logistics and Planning.
  • High level of “standard process” knowledge is required within the business of supply chain, and related processes.
  • Proven business change management competence.
  • Exposure to diverse cultures and working environments.
  • Experience in driving transformation across different teams, and proven track record of achieving success through others

Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required

  • Strong breadth / depth of Supply Chain knowledge (concepts and principles) across multiple fields: e.g. Planning, NPI, Logistics, Production, IWS.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in managing change across multiple partner groups successfully.
  • Experienced negotiation / influencing skills: ability to influence business partners as well as the ability to be bold if required.
  • Strong numerical and analytical abilities
  • A passion and drive for the development of people, processes, capability.
  • Some exposure / experience in digital transformation projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify optimisation initiatives: Savings, Cost avoidance, Cash, NCL.
  • Proven ability to identify and develop talent.

Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required

  • Experienced Supply Chain professional with a proven track record.

BENEFICIAL

  • Experience in Project management principles and processes, ideally within digital transformation of supply chain.
  • Experience in modern project management methodologies, e.g. Agile
