BAT’s Digital Business Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Network SRE Engineer in Subang Jaya, Malaysia.
The IDT Service Manager will be responsible for maintaining the health, performance, and stability of BAT’s network infrastructure, serving as a key link between development and operations. They will coordinate vendor partnerships, facilitate new service rollouts, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, the role includes ensuring alignment with BAT’s compliance standards, managing escalation processes, and proactively resolving operational challenges to optimize IT service efficiency.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensure service availability, performance, and capacity across BAT’s network infrastructure.
- Act as the main point of contact for network health and address escalations in a 24x7 rotation.
- Collaborate with development teams to build solutions and ensure platform operability.
- Maintain and manage vendor relationships to meet service delivery standards.
- Support deployment of new products and installations within network infrastructure.
- Engage with Solution Architects to develop and implement service roadmaps.
- Proactively identify and address issues, performance bottlenecks, and improvement areas.
- Adhere to BAT’s standards, governance, and compliance requirements in all service operations.
What are we looking for?
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with proven stakeholder management experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse, team-focused environment alongside Engineers, Product Managers, etc.
- Solid experience in deploying and configuring network infrastructure, including WAN, LAN, and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA).
- Knowledge of Cisco Meraki, Cisco DNA, Zscaler services, or similar products.
- Comprehensive understanding of IT Service Management standard methodologies (ITIL certification preferred).
