BAT TAIWAN IS LOOKING FOR A BUSINESS COMMUNICATIONS & SUSTAINABILITY MANAGER

SENIORITY LEVEL: Mid Manager
FUNCTION: Legal & External Affair
SALARY RANGE: 14th month Base Salary + Excellent Benefits + Performance Incentive
LOCATION: Taipei, Taiwan

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

The role is responsible for managing both internal and external business communications, including content shaping and channel optimization. In this position as the communications manager, you will play a key role in driving the communications strategy in line with business objectives

The job holder cascades and promotes corporate information for the company, externally acting as liaison with media to cultivate positive corporate image, and internally as bridge between all Taiwan staff and above market (including Area, Regional, Global) to ensure alignment in business objectives and strategy

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

External Communication

  • Planning and performing the total corporate communication strategies and activities to deliver compelling messages to enhance positive corporate reputation and support business strategy
  • Planning, building and leading all aspects of the development of high-quality external communication content & materials on different channels including own, earned and paid media
  • Developing and handling media stakeholders and its engagement plan to ensure a ‘fit-for-purpose’ media relation for BAT Taiwan
  • Monitoring the media environment towards tobacco industry and BAT Taiwan to ensure the company well prepared for any media issues/crisis; where appropriate, leveraging the media channel to support the communication objectives of business priorities Effectively managing agencies where relevant.
  • Ensuring global, regional and local guidelines/standards well met in relation to all external communication.

Internal Communication

  • Developing, driving and handling internal communication plan & agenda
  • Driving the successful execution of all communication activities that encourage and engage employees, including but not limited to, town hall meetings, newsletter, workshops, yammer (internal social media), etc to ensure all company business direction/update, local and regional, well communicated.
  • Ensuring local leadership team, DBRU, Regional and Global well informed, aligned and support Communication & ESG strategies, priorities and plan

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • 6-8 years of experience in business communication, PR, corporate affairs at management level for FMCG companies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin
  • Profound understanding of traditional, digital, and social media
  • Excellent stakeholders engagement and management skills
  • Strategic planning skills, ability to take initiative to develop new strategies and outside-the-box ideas
  • Strong copywriting and content creation skills and the ability to multitask and supervise several projects daily.
  • High level of engagement and adaptation in changing circumstances
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, business communication, or related field is preferred. Legal education background will be an added advantage
